What motivated you to become an entrepreneur OR take your career in the direction you did? Is having your own business OR this role you are in something you always wanted?

What motivated me to become a full time travel creator was seeing a gap and knowing that I could fill it. I wanted to see more black people traveling, exploring and seeing travel as being something that we can all do. Essentially changing the face of travel, that truly what has pushed me day in and day out.

Which woman has positively impacted you in your career/business? And what is the one lesson she taught you?

One woman who has positively impacted my career has been my mother. My parents knew that they wanted to work hard as teachers back then to give their children a life full of wonder and travel. My mom has always been smart, strong, feisty and nurturing and through seeing her become, I’ve been parts of me that are truly from her. She’s taught me to stand up for myself, always lean on God and to give freely with an open heart.

How do you define success?

Defining success has always been hard for me because I’ve always places small blocks on the way to the “bigger” which has always made me wonder if there truly is ever the “end goal” so I’ve had to just define success as being able to tick off the many aspirations I’ve had for myself. This makes it easier for me to feel successful even along the journey in my career. If I am actively doing, then I am successful.

One insight for anyone interested in the industry you are working in?

One insight I can share with anyone interested in being a full time travel and lifestyle content creator would be to keep reinventing yourself. With so many people doing it, it’s important to always remember your why but also grow and reinvent as you grow.

What is your one key guiding principle in your work life?

My guiding principal at the moment is learning to do things with others and not work in a silo. This has helped my pivot a lot and allow me to enjoy creating.
